Privacy Policy — Lights
Effective date: 2 September 2026
Lights (“the app”) is a puzzle game published by TemanixStudio. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: the app itself collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere.
What the app stores
Everything the app remembers is stored only on your device:
- your current game — the board, round number, score and elapsed time, so closing the app does not lose your progress
- your records — best game score, highest round solved, rounds won, games played, points earned and total time played
- your settings — sound, vibration and cell symbols on or off
- your display name for local play, if you have set one
None of this is transmitted to us. We have no server, and the app has no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
Local play
The app can play a round against other phones in the same room, over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct. This works entirely between the devices present — there is no internet connection, no server, and nothing reaches us.
When you use it, the app asks Android for permission to find nearby devices, and asks you for a display name. That name, and your result for the shared round (whether you solved it, how many taps you used, how long you took, and the score that comes out of it), are sent to the other phones taking part so that everyone can see the scoreboard. Nothing else is sent, and nothing is kept on the other devices after the game ends.
The name is whatever you type. It is stored on your device and reused next time, and you can change it on the local play screen at any point.
Google Play Games Services
If you choose to sign in to Google Play Games, the app submits your best game score to a public leaderboard so it can be ranked against other players. Your Play Games profile — the display name and avatar you have chosen there — is visible to other players on that leaderboard.
That sign-in and the leaderboard are operated by Google, not by us. Google’s handling of the data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. We never receive your Google account details, email address or password.
Playing without signing in works exactly the same, minus the leaderboard.
Children
The app collects no personal information and shows no advertising. If a child signs in to Google Play Games, that sign-in is governed by Google’s own rules and by whatever family controls you have set on the account.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
